Role Introduction:

The AA is embarking on an exciting growth and transformation phase and is seeking to recruit a Quantitative Analyst for our Commercial team.

The Quantitative Analyst will work in a Pricing department which is a pivotal element of the wider Commercial division. You will work alongside Quantitative Analysts, Trading Specialists and Pricing Engine Developers and report into the Pricing Manager.

You will implement pricing processes based on complex business requirements to deliver reliable solutions to business strategies. Manage and target profit and growth of AA products through pricing initiatives. Provide analytical support on trading issues and solutions. Build and maintain complex reports and visualizations to improve business performance. Perform ad-hoc analysis on business processes and their development to answer key questions towards driving trading performance. Take ownership of and manage ad-hoc requests to support business development.

The successful candidate will be a highly driven, adaptable and confident person who can thrive in a rapidly changing organisation and will adopt a hands-on approach to their role.

Work location: Whilst the base for this role will be the company’s Head Office on South William Street, Dublin 2 the role is eligible for the company’s Hybrid Working Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

As the AA business continues to evolve, so too will the responsibilities of this role evolve and change over time. The primary responsibilities and focus areas for this role will include the following:

· Manage and target profit and growth of AA products through pricing initiatives

· Take ownership of some of the existing Pricing Analytics processes, tools, and strategies, being responsible for the execution, maintenance, and evolution of same

· Create a wide range of different data analysis and reports requested by different business areas (e.g., Marketing) as well as communicate such results to a wide-range audience in a clear, concise, and efficient way

· Management of ad-hoc requests and project timelines, and prioritisation of same

The Candidate should have the following:

Minimum qualifications, experience & skills

· Degree in Engineering, Science, actuarial or relevant field

· Minimum 2 year of experience in analytical role

· Experience with Statistical modelling techniques such as regression, segmentation, prediction and forecasting

· Ability to produce accurate and high-quality work to agreed deadlines

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Strong problem-solving skills

Knowledge of

· R, intermediate

· Python, advanced

· SQL, intermediate

· Microsoft Excel, intermediate

· Data visualization tools

Desirable

· Agile development processes and best practices
